Email Marketing Campaign - How To Reach Potential Customers

If you're looking to automate some of your e-mail correspondence, try installing an autoresponder–a program that automatically responds to a given e-mail or other input. If your autoresponder is first-rate, it will offer the option of sending two or more response e-mails, at different times–and these e-mails can be customized with personal information. When choosing your autoresponder company, consider Aweber and Getresponse (two firms at the top of their fields), in addition to the other alternatives.

The aim of Email marketing is to promote products and services via email. Email marketing is one of the most effective means to promote brand awareness and establish a relationship with your customers over time. Research has shown that the average person needs to see your ad over 7 times before they are confident enough to make a purchase. An effective email marketing campaign not only accomplishes this but can also convert your one-time-buyer into a long term customer.

When you first develop your email marketing campaign, focus on your main goals and objectives. Are you targeting new customers, retaining current customers, or developing stronger relationships and repeat sales? Does your campaign involve giving useful information or are you looking for a response? Your clear objectives help to reach your initial goal and your audience will see the message you are conveying when it is broadcast.

As part of the web based email marketing strategy, try to keep the content of your email as short and to the point as possible. Sending a lengthy email may prevent people from reading it. Also, avoid sending attachments. People are afraid of viruses and they will seldom download the file.

Also, be sure not to send out emails in an HTML format because corporate email systems detect it as spam which triggers spam-blocking software. Personalize your email through your email marketing campaign as it is a key to becoming successful. Using your full name than your company's name gives you more credibility. Remember to use the recipient's name in the subject line as well. You'll find your emails are opened more often because recipients recognize emails from people they know.

If you want your reader to open and read the mail you send, you need to develop an interesting subject line to capture your reader's attention. If your subject line does not appeal to the reader, your email will not get opened and your email marketing campaign will fail. Also, remember not to exceed 40 characters when developing your subject line.

A great feature on an auto responder usually gives the option to place opt-in boxes on a website by copy and pasting simple HTML code. The person can then choose whether or not they want to receive information to you by a confirmation email. This method is known as "opting in", an important way to send email to people without legal repercussions.

One of the Keys to Success with email marketing is the right autoresponder. Read my side-by-side Autoresponder Reviews.
