Crystal Meth: A Dangerous Drug That Kills
Crystal meth is a form of methamphetamine is a psycho stimulant drug, which affects all parts of the brain. It causes a sense of euphoria in the person who takes as well as an intense rush of energy. Crystal meth was first synthesized in Japan in the nineteen thirties, and has been used in many forms of medication since then. It alters the brain's chemistry in a profound way, but in ways that can be both beneficial and damaging.
One drug that helps with the treatment of depression is an amphetamine. The coarsely manufactured crystal meth is extremely illegal and easily made from household ingredients and over the counter drugs. Crystal meth is highly addictive and this industry has sadly sky-rocketed in the last few years.
This drug is highly addictive and can destroy lives in a short period of time, and can cause permanent brain damage, various physical problems or even death. This drug deprives the body of different nutrients and vitamins which you can notice in a user's complexion, and lead to rotted teeth and gums as well.
Distinct behavioral patterns are shown by addicts. These patterns are symptoms of the drug that they are on. Some examples of these patterns are hyper activity, not sleeping for days, panic attacks and irritability. The side effects of drug use can be instant and long term. Permanent health problems due to drug use can happen very quickly and do not require continued drug use to remain.
People addicted to crystal meth may lose large numbers of pounds. They also get cavities in their teeth very quickly and their skin deteriorates. Overdoses of it can cause bizarre conduct, can result in psychotic episodes, or can even be fatal.
Meth addiction is very difficult to treat. It requires intensive physical therapy as well as mental support in a drug treatment facility. The addict needs to be weaned off the drug gradually to avoid deadly or extremely debilitating withdrawal effects. There are many treatment centers around the country, and if somebody you know is an addict you must get them in to a treatment program as soon as possible.
